Can using Xcode + VPN harm my instagram reach?

I have an account that’s 119k (used to be 127k in April but I took a huge posting break) My followers went down because no new followers are coming in. My average reach was 300k-700k now it’s 24k-37k. This is my only source of income for now so it matters, plus it’s my passion because I was doing this because it got me paid.

I use Xcode to alter my phones location because I want to target a certain audience (been doing this for 2 years now). I usually post doing the following :

• iPhone on simulated location
• betternet on (IP matches simulated location)
• vpn super unlimited on Auto mode (IP matches simulated location

This has been working for me no matter how the algorithm changes. Please help me and give me advice. I’ve been also trying to get into reels but I can’t tell how it’s doing for my reach cuz there’s no insights.
