Will people automatically be admitted to my Facebook group if I invite them?

Okay, so I just set up a Facebook group for my podcast BossLocks. I set up the membership questions and had the settings set so that nobody could enter the group unless I approved it.

So I decided to go ahead and start inviting some friends to the group. I now notice that as soon as they accept the invitation, they are in the group without having to be approved.

I want to spread the word and invite people I know first but I still want them to answer the questions. Any thoughts or advice?
