How is the audience for FB live videos calculated?

I just came across a FB live video lasting around 15 mins. I watched almost the entire session and paid special attention to the number of viewers there. Throughout the duration, the viewers were hovering between 70-90.

But just soon after the video ended, I noticed that the clip has been watched by around 700 viewers. It doesn't quite make sense. Also, related to this, I understand that one can't boost viewership during the live event, but can draw traffic (by buying ads) to create awareness. Is that correct?

Also, after the live event has concluded, is it possible to boost viewership by way of ads to drive more viewers to watch the recorded clip?
