Let me start with what I do understand: I travel back and forth between the UK and México very regularly, so I can at least understand accounts getting locked due to geographical changes. HOWEVER, given that Twitter is a platform used by international corporations, it’s kind of mind-blowing to me that this could even be a factor in accounts being locked. Nevertheless, I can least identify a reason for why this might impact the algorithm’s decision to suspend accounts.
Here’s what I don’t understand: none of the accounts I manage are linked together in any way. None of the accounts share phone numbers, email addresses, Twitter Teams, TweetDeck accounts, Sprout Social accounts, or anything. I even use different Chrome accounts to access them if I’m using Twitter Web. So, I can’t figure out what the linking factor is that could be knocking these accounts into suspension. Twitter hasn’t responded to this issue for weeks, and I’m beginning to get desperate. Continuously asking clients for verification codes via SMS is embarrassing, awkward, and unprofessional. Has anyone else experienced an issue like this before, or does anyone have any theories or solutions? It’s more or less making the Twitter-focused side of my job totally impossible.
Big love for any help!
