Any insights into how TikTok manages views?

One video will get 900 views and 30 likes. Another will get 50 likes but less than 300 views. Another will get 100 likes but not crack 1000 views.

What is up with the view/engagement system on TikTok? I’ll have a video that seems to be gaining traction (multiplying view count, steady likes / comments) in the first hour and then boom—suddenly the view count just seems to stop.

I understand that it releases content to viewers in batches, but I’m not sure why the views to engagement ratio varies so much. Any insights?
