FB problems

Not sure if this is the right subreddit to post technical issue questions. If not, maybe someone could redirect me.

Anyway, the problems I'm having are: (1) Anything that I try to post to "Your Story" doesn't seem to go through. Nobody seems to be able to see it, and when I check my timeline and my Activity Log, it doesn't show up. However, I can post things to New Feed.

(2) I can't upload photos from my laptop, but I can from my phone. I get an error message a few seconds after selecting the photo, while waiting for it to upload to the status update box. I've tried several different photos (mostly small file sizes) and different browsers. I even reinstalled Flash, but to no avail.

FB support seems to be practically non-existent. The FAQs don't seem to cover these issues, and Google searches didn't uncover anything helpful, either.

These problems only cropped up recently, and I don't recall making any changes to my computer that would have caused this. In any case, any help is greatly appreciated.
