I manage the social media pages for a few companies, one of which has a very common company name. As such, there are a ton of different companies with the same name and therefore people who have that same company name listed as their work experience. However, when someone lists our company name as work experience, even if they don't click our company page, LinkedIn is just automatically listing them as employees of my page for some insane reason- probably because ours is the top result. When I go to the "employees who work here" button, I can see various non employees listed and when I click their profile, our logo does not pop up for their work experience meaning they did not intentionally select our page. So, why is LinkedIn putting them on our company page as employees? I've gotten chewed out from my bosses about this and they're considering deleting the page outright, and LinkedIn support has been not helpful in the slightest. Their only feedback is to submit a false information report for each profile which is insane because there is more than 40 fake employees, and because they AREN'T EVEN DOING IT INTENTIONALLY! Again, I go to a "fake" employees page, and our company logo isn't listed with our company name meaning they aren't even trying to associate with the company! Does anyone have any thoughts, or solutions to this? I've searched long and far online with no luck. Thank you.
