Hi everyone, I need a piece of advice. I started posting on TikTok back in August, figured out what kind of videos work well for me and about Thanksgiving my videos started going crazy viral. I have 4 so far with + 4m views, one of them has 16m. I went from about 30k followers around Thanksgiving to 560k. Ok, so lately I have been getting a couple of requests from what I believe to be weird or suspicious accounts. I came into a marketing role with a US-based hospitality company and initially it had a respectable following of just over 15k. After doing some digging I started to learn that the old team that managed the social kind of screwed the pooch -- they hired some freelancer to grow the following but basically what the freelancer did was use the 'follow-for-follow' method to follow a bunch of travel bloggers / businesses and get them to follow back -- most of whom (over 55%) are users not even from the US and will almost certainly never become customers.
